Daniel Wai is addressing the speculation regarding his girlfriend, Ariana Madix’s, appearance and potential surgery.
On August 2, the fitness trainer took to Instagram to clarify that rumors about Madix having undergone surgery are unfounded. Wai emphasized that Madix’s remarkable physique on “Love Island” resulted from her intense workout routine and strict diet, not any surgical procedures.
He posted, “For ‘Love Island,’ Ariana worked incredibly hard, spending 2 to 3 hours a day in the gym and adhering to a disciplined diet. There’s no surgery involved—sorry, but that’s the truth. As for sharing workout routines, I’d like to, but it’s part of my professional services.”
Wai also included a link for those interested in his training services.
Madix, who hosted the third season of “Love Island USA,” has previously addressed questions about her cosmetic procedures. In response to social media speculation, she detailed her past treatments, including Botox and minor lip and chin fillers, but denied having undergone any major surgery like blepharoplasty.
Wai also shared that Madix is accessible to fans after her Broadway performances in “Chicago.” “Ariana meets with fans after every show at the stage door, takes photos, and chats with everyone. She’s very appreciative of her supporters,” he said.
Madix, who began her Broadway run as Roxy Hart in January 2024, initially planned to end her stint in March but extended it through April due to popular demand. She’s set to reprise the role from August 1 to August 27, following the announcement of Bravo pausing filming on “Vanderpump Rules” amid the Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss affair fallout.
The “Scandoval” scandal was a major focus of “Vanderpump Rules” season 10, including its finale and the three-part reunion special, and continued to be a topic throughout season 11. Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval, who had been in a relationship for nearly a decade, broke up in March 2023 after news of Sandoval’s affair with a costar became public.
It appears that “Vanderpump Rules” will not be filming a new season during the summer months as it has in the past. Sandoval hinted at this during an appearance on Fox’s New Day Cleveland in May, stating, “After the scandal, we resumed filming almost immediately, then took a short break before starting season 11. They want to give things some time to settle and maybe take a longer break, which could bring a fresh perspective to the show.”
Andy Cohen, who is not involved in producing the show but is a prominent figure at Bravo, discussed the idea of pausing filming on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. He noted that similar breaks were used for the “Real Housewives” series, explaining, “We used to pause filming for a few months to let the cast live their lives and return with new experiences.”
