On Claim to Fame, contestants share one key feature: a famous relative. To win the $100,000 grand prize, players must uncover their competitors’ celebrity connections while concealing their own. Tools like a clue wall, hints from missions, and a wine cellar with individual clues aid them in this quest.
Success on the show hinges on gathering information. Contestants who end up in the bottom two after missions face the risk of becoming that week’s guesser. The guesser must correctly identify a competitor’s famous relative to avoid elimination. A wrong guess leads to their immediate exit.
Claim to Fame premiered in 2022, and Season 3 began on July 10. This season’s winner will follow the paths of Season 1 champion LC Palmer (sister of Keke Palmer) and Season 2 victor Gabriel Cannon (brother of Nick Cannon).
Here’s what we know so far about the celebrity connections for Season 3:
Bianca Roberts and Robin Roberts
In the Season 3 premiere, Bianca was the first guesser. She guessed that Shane was related to Forest Whitaker, but was incorrect. Bianca was later revealed to be the niece of Robin Roberts from Good Morning America. Bianca shared that Robin had supported her reality TV aspirations from the start and gave her a Real World application book years ago, encouraging her to be herself and enjoy the experience.
Jill Kurlfink and John Stamos
In Episode 2, Jill guessed Miguel’s relative to be Antonio Banderas based on misleading information. Miguel’s plan to mislead her worked, and Jill was eliminated, revealing her celebrity relative as John Stamos. Jill mentioned that Stamos was very supportive throughout her participation, offering encouragement and advice.
Gracie Hyland and Jon Cryer
During Episode 2’s double elimination, Gracie guessed incorrectly that Adam was related to Dustin Hoffman based on false information from Naomi. Gracie was then revealed as Jon Cryer’s niece. Cryer made a cameo in Gracie’s final episode and was involved in her life despite their occasional visits. Gracie appreciated his support, especially during challenging times.
Raphael ‘Miguel’ Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis
In Episode 3, Miguel revealed his full name, Raphael Miguel Curtis, and used his middle name to mislead competitors into thinking his relative was Latinx. After a wrong guess about Dedrick, Jamie Lee Curtis was identified as Miguel’s aunt, which surprised everyone. Miguel noted that while he wasn’t very close to Jamie Lee growing up, she supported his family during difficult times.
Naomi Burns and Molly Ringwald
Naomi’s elimination in Episode 4 marked the season’s first correct guess. Her relative is Molly Ringwald. Naomi shared that she would not have participated without Ringwald’s approval, respecting her privacy and receiving encouragement from her cousin.
Siggy Jackson, Jr. (Dedrick) and Michael Jackson
Dedrick, whose real name is Siggy Jackson, Jr., inadvertently hinted at his famous relative by referring to himself as Mr. Jackson. This slip led to speculation about his connection to Michael Jackson, which was confirmed in Episode 5. Dedrick, the nephew of the late King of Pop, initially targeted the wrong competitor, resulting in his elimination.
