Olivia Plath expressed skepticism about Moriah Plath’s apology on the latest episode of Welcome to Plathville, especially since it coincided with the release of Moriah’s new song, which touches on their past conflicts.

On the Tuesday, August 6 episode of the TLC series, Olivia, 26, shared her doubts about Moriah’s apology, noting that while she doesn’t view Moriah as malicious, she finds it hard to fully trust her. Moriah, 21, had requested a meeting to apologize for her handling of the situation involving her music, which had led to public accusations against Olivia.

During their conversation, Moriah admitted she had been “keeping a record of wrongs” and acknowledged her mistakes in how she treated Olivia. She expressed regret for her actions and stated she was working on being more accountable.

However, Olivia felt the apology was too vague and didn’t address the specific issues from their past. Olivia wished Moriah had been more explicit about her wrongdoings, particularly the public accusation that Olivia had stolen Moriah’s music. Olivia wanted Moriah to directly acknowledge that her claims were false and that they had caused significant damage.

Olivia also questioned the timing of Moriah’s apology, given that it came just as Moriah was about to release a song that references their feud. Olivia referred to the song as a “burn book” against her, reflecting their complicated relationship.

In her song “Circus,” Moriah sings about her struggles with family dynamics, including her strained relationship with Olivia. The lyrics reflect Moriah’s emotional journey and her feelings of being misunderstood and criticized.

Olivia’s distrust was compounded by the perception that Moriah’s apology might be more about promoting her music than genuinely addressing their issues.

Moriah explained that her song began as an expression of frustration about her family issues but evolved into a reflection on various aspects of her life. She noted that while the song touches on many personal experiences, her feelings towards Olivia have changed.

Olivia, on the other hand, expressed disappointment about how their issues were aired publicly. She acknowledged that some of Moriah’s actions were hurtful but also reflected on her own past mistakes, sharing that she wished she had received more understanding for her own missteps. Olivia conveyed that she empathizes with Moriah’s struggles and understands the complexities of their past.

During their conversation, Olivia also emphasized that despite their divorce, she genuinely cared for Ethan and, by extension, Moriah. She explained that while their relationship might not be the same, her past affection for Moriah was real.

Both Olivia and Moriah acknowledged in their confessionals that their relationship has changed irreversibly. Moriah mentioned she was seeking some form of closure, while Olivia noted that she no longer views Moriah as a sister but remembers their past bond fondly.

As they parted ways, Olivia wished Moriah well and acknowledged having listened to her song, while Moriah reciprocated the sentiment. They concluded their conversation with a mutual “Love you” before going their separate ways.
